TeleconferencesSatellite Dish Image

The Craigmont Planetarium is equipped with a satellite dish and is capable of showing teleconferences from around the world. Several companies produce these types of shows. Your class can come to the planetarium to view these shows live or we can video tape them for later use. Contact planetarium staff for information on setting up a teleconference for your class.

NASA Television
The mission of NASA Television is to provide the American people access through television to their aeronautics and space program. To fulfill that mission, NASA Television will provide real-time and video-taped television pictures and images concerning NASA's activities, as well as the results of those activities. Many of the programs are interdisciplinary in nature. These programs may be viewed live in the Planetarium or video taped to be shown in individual classrooms at a later date. Programs are free to Memphis City and Shelby County Schools (video tape required) and are available to the public for a small fee. See the "Education" schedule to find out what's on today!

Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg produces a number of field trips for the social studies classroom. They air at 9:00 and 12:00 a. m. for each respective program. Programs may be viewed live or may be taped. The cost for these field trips is $100. See the Colonial Williamsburg link for program dates and information on on-line resources and curriculum materials.
