Welcome to Craigmont High School
The Optional School for International Studies
I am delighted to welcome you to our school - a school with a place for everyone.  Building upon a strong tradition of academic excellence, the students and faculty work with community stakeholders to exemplify what is "right" with American public education.  The optional program of international studies blends a strong language arts and social studies curriculum with opportunities for students to immerse themselves in one or more of our foreign language offerings, including Russian, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish.

The fine arts program provides students deeper understandings of different cultures while simultaneously offering opportunities for them to excel in band, orchestra, choir, and the visual and performing arts.  Vocational, business and technical programs, television and radio broadcasting offerings, athletics, and foreign travel contribute to the opportunities for students to select and experience a well-rounded high school program.  Students and families of all cultures, abilities and traditions are welcomed and celebrated as part of our school community.

The National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award, Redbook Magazine Best of Schools Award, and the Horatio Alger Award - three national awards earned by our school - each underscore the faculty and community efforts to provide students unique educational opportunities.  Viewed together they proclaim Craigmont High School as an exemplary school.  As the principal, I am amazed at the level of commitment I see from our staff, parents and students and recognize and appreciate the fact that these awards are so well-deserved.

Explore our Web site.  I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing all of it; but, please visit us if you can.  You too will be amazed.  Craigmont is truly like no other place in the world.
