The Parent-Teacher Organization at Craigmont is
a very active parent group. The Craigmont Chieftain, Craigmont's
parent newsletter, is published by the PTO three times yearly. This, along
with any special flyers, is sent to every Craigmont family. "Coke" Day,
is sponsored by the PTO, once a month, to raise money for scholarships,
postage, and other PTO sponsored activities. The PTO hosts the fall Open
House, a luncheon for Teacher Appreciation Day, lunch in honor of Secretaries
Day, a reception for the Senior Class after Baccalaureate, and any other
activity for which the school needs a reception.
In the spring of the 1995-1996 school year, the PTO was also instrumental in organizing a school-wide carnival to raise money for the school and started a Safety Fund to help buy walkie talkies and a base unit for the school administration and security. The PTO also presents five scholarships to deserving graduating seniors each year. To contact the Craigmont PTO, call the school main office at 416-4312. |
