The Craigmont High
School Band has a membership of 50-75 students in grades 9-12. The band
has earned numerous "Superior" ratings at the regional concert festivals
for over 20 years. In recent years, the band was awarded "Best in Class"
at music festivals in Dallas, Chicago, and Atlanta. Locally, the
Craigmont Band performs at school pep rallies and football games.
They march in parades, give several concerts each year, and play for graduation
in the Spring.
Several students in the band are also members of The All-West Tennessee Honor Bands, the University of Memphis Honor Bands, the Tennessee All-State Band and Orchestra, the Memphis Youth Symphony, the Bartlett Community Concert Band, and various church orchestras in the Memphis area. Many graduates of the Craigmont Band program are in the National Honor Society and are ranked at the top of their class.
